1. Should be more dramatic and should move things along that will leave you breathless.
2. Mouth your dialogue. You'll start "real life editing" a dialogue. Take in everything.
3. Identify the character by what he or she says. They need their own self.
4. Putting together two very different people can work well. They will have a lot to say.
5. Encompasses what is said and also what is not said.
6. Sarcasm and impatience... give them an attitude.
7. You could model them after a different person. Don't base it on yourself.
8. Have them talk to everyone because you will see that their character will develop.
9. Trust yourself to listen to how that character will be.
10. Learn about people from people, not from your reading.
11. Feel it for the villain. Give him a heart even though it may be deranged.
