When we first discussed this, I though it was the dumbest idea ever. I was dreading it because I didn't want to have to write that much... especially in high school with all of my tests coming up and because it was senior year. I actually felt kind of mad. I rerally didn't want to do it. I was actually satisfied with the project though by the end of it. I feel as though I really let my creativity fly and it has made me feel quite accomplished. So, I liked it. I felt that the outline was the most important thing from the script frenzy workbook. It made it easy to write the script because my words could just flow and I didn't have to worry about what was next. I don't really believe any of the pages weren't helpful but I do think that it got a bit repetitive at some points. There were some areas where I had to explain my characters like five times. I learned that I am a huge perfectionist from doing this project. It was hard for me to write a lot because I kept focusing on developing everything and it slowed me down. By the end, I was able to let it all go and right many pages in just a few days but the first 25 days or so, I only wrote like 25 pages. The last five days I wrote another 28 pages. I finished with 53 pages. I was horrible at the time management at first but it developed later on and I got better with it. By the end, I just focused on getting words down and it was much easier. I didn't even py attention to spelling by the end. It was a pain to let that go at the beginning. I'm glad I learned how to let it go though. It can be very helpful sometimes. My script is very well planned out and has so much potential so I feel that that is a very strong point. I'm very proud of my fight scene in Elkhorn and my careful planning. I feel as though this could be such a good story. My script has many weaknesses. For one, I never explained what happened to the old woman. Also, I could create a better relationship with the old man and Exton and develop Exton's personality better. Also, it still has no ending! If we had more time, I'd focus on getting the whole story down. Once that is done, I'd revise it for more intricate planning so that the story has ins and outs. But, first thing is first. I've gotta get my story down.

1. I feel like the language of the scene is what really pulls it together. Exton is unsure and Rand is very relaxed. He seems to embody the king and really has the social skills... something that Camillo lacked. He exhibited the openness that comes with being a king yet he was kind... something you don't always see. I also feel like I was able to show how Exton became gradually more content with the situation and how he began to relax after meeting the king in an overwhelming place. I also felt like it was a good scene to show Exton's first impression of Celphi. Celphi's personality was perfect too. She barely said anything and I used Rand to explain who she is. I felt like it kept her mysterious but still shed enough light on her to not make her seem unattainable.
2. A weakness might be the multiple monologues that Rand went through telling his life. I'm not sure how that would show up on screen. He talked for quite a while. I think it would work well for a book though. I think I could have made Exton look a bit more nervous too. He seemed to get over it a little fast now that I look at it again. Also, I might want to include more about Celphi. Maybe I should have her talk at the meeting before she leaves the meeting. Maybe I should have her be talking about some important things that involve her being a strong warrior type archetype.
3. I would fix all things in the previous section. Celphi would definitely have to be portrayed as being a more severe person. Also, Rand's story of himself could be better. I want to give him more personality. He said something about being a hard ass but I feel like it could keep going. I want him to be a more fun, ball-busting, type person that is completely contradictory and opposite to Celphi's personality.

INT. In a dream space. Not day or night
EXTON finds himself in a dream place. It is dark with twirling colors all about and no walls or floor can be seen. It is a vast void with only CAMILLO standing there in front of him.
EXTON
Who are you? I've seen you before. Throughout my life I've had little dreams where you have appeared. This feels so real though. Why...
EXTON will be holding his head and using his hand as to look confused.
CAMILLO
My name is Camillo. This is the Akashic Record. I will explain everything at another time but for now I will only explain a few things. Firstly, you are the next generation. You are a "prodigy" and by now, you've probably figured this out...
EXTON
So, what the old man said I did was true?
CAMILLO
Yes. When the time comes, I will help you understand these powers but for now, you must keep yourself quiet.
EXTON
Wait, I still don't know who you are though. How are you able to do this and wh... what is... is...
CAMILLO
I am a friend. Time will reveal everything. Goodbye Exton.
CAMILLO will turn away and fade.

2. Non applicable. It's a dream.
3. They are discussing what happened to move the story along and to explain a bit of what is happenning. The room will be completely blank, like a dream in nowhere land.

EXTON
What is happening, old man?
OLD MAN
Exton, run! Get as far away as possible! The soldiers are here and they are ruining everything?
EXTON
Well, what are you doing then? Come with me.
OLD MAN
No, I must defend my land and my village. If I don't see you, remember that our life is based upon our people. Defend yourself and more importantly, your family and friends. They become your life. Grow up and be the man I know you can be. Now run!
(Exton begins to run away but as he looks back, he sees the old man fighting with a soldier. The soldier stabs the old man. Exton turns and runs at the soldier. Just as he did with the bear, he stabs the soldier with a bone protruding from the top of his hand)
EXTON
NO! Don't die! I need you.
OLD MAN
Exton, go now. You must leave me. I will be watching over you though. Goodbye.
(The old man dies)
(Exton gets up after a minute and begins toward the mountains)

Blog #8: Writing Effective Dialogue
1. Should be more dramatic and should move things along that will leave you breathless.
2. Mouth your dialogue. You'll start "real life editing" a dialogue. Take in everything.
3. Identify the character by what he or she says. They need their own self.
4. Putting together two very different people can work well. They will have a lot to say.
5. Encompasses what is said and also what is not said.
6. Sarcasm and impatience... give them an attitude.
7. You could model them after a different person. Don't base it on yourself.
8. Have them talk to everyone because you will see that their character will develop.
9. Trust yourself to listen to how that character will be.
10. Learn about people from people, not from your reading.
11. Feel it for the villain. Give him a heart even though it may be deranged.

The opening scene:
It will start out with Exton being born in a confused scene in which his mother, who is an unknown person, will be yelling as an older man helps her give birth. The scene will quickly close with the old man holding the baby and the lady sleeping.
I want it to start with the mother screaming and it will only show the outside of a small cobblestone house. This will last for a few seconds and then the scene will transition to the woman's face screaming inside the house. She will be breathing heavily and then you will hear the old man's telling her to push. After a few more seconds, the baby's voice (Exton), will cry out. Immediately, the woman will cease any noise and you will see her body relax. Then it will switch to the old man. He will be a holding a small baby and he will be sloached over in a chair looking exhausted with sweat dripping all about. The music will be exhilirating but at the same time, quiet. At the last second, the man will say "Exton" and the scene will quickly go black.
Into the wide unknown:
Exton hears screaming and finds out that the Empire’s soldiers are attacking the village to scare them into surrender. He knew that they needed warriors and they were on the border of the separation of the Empire. Exton watches as the old man, who hates the empire, rebels. He gets stabbed and grief fills Exton. He runs up and kills the soldier as he did with the bear. He fleas into the surrounding trees and watches from upper land. He sees everyone either surrendering to save their land or rebel and die. Just then a hand touches his shoulder and Exton spins around to see the hooded figure. Camillo says they have to leave before something more happens. Exton, being young, attempts to ask a question but faints.
Exton will hear from inside the cobblestone house and run out. The old man will tell him to get back and run. Exton why plead and try to get him to surrender. The old man will explain to the soldier that he loves his land. He won't leave it and the people in it. He is sick of being oppressed and then the fighting will commence. The soldier will stab the old man before Exton gets to him but Exton will scream and kill the soldier as he did the bear. Then he will pick up the old man's head and the old man will tell him to leave and get away. He tells him to never give in to the evils of the Empire. He will then die and Exton will see soldiers approaching and Exton will run up into the woods and hide. He will have thoughts about what happened and begin to weigh out what to do but Camillo will arrive halfway through and touch him on the shoulder. Exton, recognizes him and tries to question him but faints. The screen will go black for a bit.
All is lost/Aha moment:
The three dragons fight with the riders on back. Exton will use a bone armor he can make and his bone weapons. They will thrash and eventually the fight will go to the ground. Before fighting, Kenji will explain how he was able to replicate cells in a piece of dragon bone left over from the war (because that is his power. He can replicate his own cells to stop disease, heal) to create a dragon. They then fight and Celphi gets injured. So Exton and Kenji merge and fight like no other. Then as they separate, their dragons come down and they take flight again. As they are in the air, something happens and Exton’s dragon flows over Kenji’s. Exton jumps off and pierces the dragon in the skull causing it to plummet. Exton creates a bone shield as he flies towards the ground. He hits and survives only to see Kenji still alive and his body morphing after the long fall as it heals. They will discuss ethics and morals and then fight again. Kenji will knock Exton down but he will shoot a bone out of his chest that sends Kenji through the air. It wasn’t enough to kill him though so he heals. Then when Exton tire out and can’t do anything more and he is on his knees, Celphi is rushed in as she hangs from Exton’s dragon’s feet and as she flies by, she decapitates Kenji. Exton sees Celphi tumble to the ground and he rushes to her side. He cradles her and she kisses him softly on the lips. His healing powers surge though Celphi so that she doesn’t die from the stunt she made. They talk with a little ra ra we did it.
When discussing morals and ethics, Kenji speaks with prominance. He explains his twisted view of everything. How keeping the world under oppression is the only way to keep it safe. He tries to support his ideas and say how it's better to kill off the prodigies or to keep them all under control. Exton will see his idea but find it absurd.

Blog #6 Outline
Keaton Ackerman
Plot Setup/ outline
1. 1. It will start out with Exton being born in a
confused scene in which his mother, who is an unknown person, will be yelling
as an older man helps her give birth. The scene will quickly close with the old
man holding the baby and the lady sleeping. Then it will fast forward ten years
to Exton listening to the old man explain his birth and how his mom left before
the sun rose the next day. They will be working in the blacksmith shop that
they own as he tells the story. As they are working, the old man will drop a
hammer because his hand is shaking and he is starting to have trouble working. They
will then go to the local market and see some people. Just minor characters.
They will buy some food and some people will admire Exton for growing up well
and being a nice boy. The old man will talk to Exton in between conversations
about how proud he is of Exton. The scene will then switch to a little bit
older where Exton is now doing the majority of the blacksmith work. The old man
will comment on his growth over the years. They will reminisce about how work
is treating them and how their income this year has been slow. They will have a
customer come in and they will talk about buying a new shovel and wheel barrel.
2. 2. Exton will go to bed after the customer leaves.
He will have a dream about a hooded mad talking to him about traveling outside
of his body. The man will tell him about how his life has great promise.
Following this dream, he will wake up and
feel like he wasn’t actually asleep. He will feel like it actually happened but
he will dismiss it after a moment of pondering when the old man calls him down
for food. As he walks into the kitchen, he will see the old man. He will be
breathing heavily but he will tell Exton to relax and that he is fine. They
will sit down to eat and talk about random little things having to do with the
village. They will talk about a horse that ran away, a crop that failed, a
bickering between a husband and wife. Just minor gossip related discussions
will pursue. Then after some time, the old man will get up and as he gets up,
he will collapse. Exton, out of complete chaos and a drop in his heart will
reach out his hand to try and catch the man. The old man will be a bit too far
away but something happens. Exton will pass out and wake up with the old man
standing over him. Exton will ask what happened and the old man’s face will
light up. He will tell him how Exton’s bones had come out and caught him by
making a little longer of a hand to catch him before he hit the ground and how
after the strange bones touched him, a strange sense of ecstasy ran through the
old man and he felt better. However, it will be foggy and the man will somewhat
take it as a dream. Exton will also somewhat remember it but not really. That
night he will fall asleep from being worn out which he is somewhat skeptical
about as to why, and tells the old man this then heads upstairs. He will fall
asleep and a dream will induce in which he remembers the experience and sees
how his body transformed and everything leading up to it. Then, the dream goes
black and in his dream, a man walks into view. The same hooded character from
before and he will tell his name: Camillo. Camillo will explain that he is the
next generation. He is a “prodigy” and Exton becomes excited and confused at
the same time. He tried to ask questions but becomes too crazed and blabbers.
Camillo then tells him to hush and Camillo says he will train him when the day
comes.
A. Exton wakes up and explains the dream. The
old man will tell him about previous
occurrences of
this and how lore suggests that all of the “prodigies” could do it.
B.
Exton tries to train himself to do the action
again but he is having trouble and gets frustrated. He reminisces about what
happened and decides to go into town to talk to the story teller. Exton asks
about any prodigies who may have been able to grow bones at will because
someone had brought it up (he lies) and then the story teller explains how the
original first “prodigy” was able to do this and he also could heal others with
his powers by draining his own energy. Exton understands why he was so tired.
Then Exton is told that the first was the greatest of all time and how he was able
to keep peace for a whole life time. Exton feels hope but is still skeptical
about the situation.
C.
The next day, Exton will be hunting in the
woods. A bear will show up and chase Exton. Exton will try to turn around to
shoot the bear with his bow but is too slow. The bear swats Exton and the bow
snaps. Exton, engrossed with pain and fear turns around and launches his hand
towards the bear. As he comes close, a bone launches out from his hand and
pierces the bear through the chest causing him to die.
D.
Exton ponders everything. He realizes that these
emotions are what causes his abilities to work and becomes crazed by what he
has learned. Just at that moment, he remembers his dream. Camillo must be real
and if that is the case should he go?
E.
Exton hears screaming and finds out that the
Empire’s soldiers are attacking the village to scare them into surrender. He
knew that they needed warriors and they were on the border of the separation of
the Empire. Exton watches as the old man, who hates the empire, rebels. He gets
stabbed and grief fills Exton. He runs up and kills the soldier as he did with
the bear. He fleas into the surrounding trees and watches from upper land. He
sees everyone either surrendering to save their land or rebel and die.
3.
3.
a.
Just then a hand touches his shoulder and Exton
spins around to see the hooded figure. Camillo says they have to leave before
something more happens. Exton, being young, attempts to ask a question but
faints.
b.
As Exton awakes, he is strapped into a saddle
riding next to Camillo. Camillo looks slender under his long black robe. Exton
grumbles a question asking where they are. Camillo explains that they are
riding east to head around the Algore mountains. They then stop and Exton asks
what happened. Camillo tells him to relax. He touches his arm and sends him
into an out of body experience. They speed through the air and arrive within
seconds at the opening of Elkhorn, his village. Exton sees the soldiers posted
everywhere. The mean who surrendered are suiting up in armor and readying
themselves to leave for the army. They are crying with their wives and children
and those who rebel lay stacked in a pile of dead bodies. Exton flares and
screams about what has happened but is unable to move. Camillo remarks about
how he won’t be able to move because he is in Camillo’s Akashic Record, not his
own. Camillo will release the dream and Exton will awaken at the place they
previously stopped. Exton will ask how he did that and Camillo will explain and
tell him the state of the Empire and how they are rebelling and how he
contacted Exton through the Akashic Record and the connection that the
“prodigies” share. He will explain how the king, Kenji, wasn’t able to contact
Exton like Camillo because Camillo had learned through studying the Akashic
Record that each “prodigy” seems to come from a certain area. There is a
pattern to where they are born and since Camillo knew where to go, he was able
to contact Exton before Kenji because of the distance barrier. He must be
within a few kilometers.
c.
They then travel south and cross where the Nier
meets the Laar. As they cross, the come upon a band of about ten soldiers that
were scouting ahead for the army. Camillo explains that they must defend the
Rebels and kill the soldiers. He tells Exton to hold still and Exton watches as
Camillo creeps around behind the soldiers’ gathering. In a split second he
lurches from behind with a small dagger concealed in his robe. He slits two of
their throats and then utters a quick word and a flash of light is exerted from
his hand that is blinding. He kills the rest as their eyes burn from the light.
Exton sees however that a man is still alive and comes at Camillo from behind.
Exton runs out and says “behind!” but before he even finished his word, Exton
spins on heel and grabs the soldier’s arm and tears it out of his socket. Exton
looks with awe and realizes that this man, Camillo, can control light as well
as use quick spurts of unimaginable strength. Exton rushes over as Camillo
collapses. Camillo says he will be fine and that the light is easy but the
strength can really take too much out of him.
d.
They then go to an area by the base of Union
Wall and camp out. Before they fall asleep, Exton asks Camillo who he really
is. All Camillo says is that he is a “prodigy” who is in support of the Rebels
and how if he hadn’t helped Exton, he would be under Kenji’s control. Exton is
anxious to get a better answer but Camillo goes on to say that he is there to
support and find whoever the next “prodigy” is. He tells him that he plans to
train him to fight the Empire. They fall asleep. Scene switches to Exton
learning to fight with Camillo with sticks fashioned after wood and Camillo
shouting how to do things. Then it switches to Exton meditating and Camillo
explaining the Akashic Record and what it is. Exton wants to know how to access
it at will as Camillo did with Elkhorn but Camillo tells him that it’s not the
right time and the conversation ends after Exton begs one last time but to no
avail.
e.
After a couple days of traveling south along the
Union Wall, Exton and Camillo arrive at Abalonia. Exton knew it was the capital
of the Rebels and as he approached he saw massive buildings towering higher
than any spire possible with menacing gates all around. Camillo explains
Abalonia: the lay out, the people of importance like the king and his daughter
Celphi who is about Exton’s age and beautiful but reserved and is actually
trained as an underhand assassin for Rand McNally, the king.
f.
Exton will meet everyone in a room and everyone
will be happy to see the new addition to the team. He will see Celphi and
become entranced in her beauty. She won’t say anything but as everyone else
talks, Exton will be distracted. They will arrange a feast for the addition of
a new “prodigy” even though he is new. The king will have a meeting after in
which he discusses mass amounts of information with Exton. His life, addressing
questions Exton has, discussing his powers, plans for the future, the people in
the Rebel forces, Camillo. Exton will ask about Celphi and the king will joke
around saying to not try to court her too much or she’ll kill him. He then
tells Exton that she will be the one to train Exton for time to come in the art
of combat. Rand dismisses Exton and Exton find Celphi outside the room. She
tells him to follow her and she brings him to a room that she explains is his.
Exton tries to inquire about Celphi but she ignores him and leaves bidding him
goodnight.
g.
Scenes will happen with fighting and meditation.
Then one major one comes up where Celphi and Exton fight but instead of using a
stick, Celphi urges Exton to use his bones. He is originally skeptical because
he doesn’t want them to break. But she rushes and attack with a real sword and
he pulls out a bone blade from the top of his hand to fight. He learns that his
bones are extremely strong which reminds him how he has never broken a bone. He
quickly becomes very skilled and learns his true powers. Then he will have a
session with Camillo where he tells Exton how to calm himself completely to
allow for Exton to explore the Akashic Record.
h.
After a while, a yearly festivity will be held
to commemorate the fall of the dragons. A bunch of stuff will happen and the
people will party and Exton, now being in love with Celphi will meet up with
her. They will talk for a bit and Celphi will be recognizably sad. Exton will
ask what’s wrong and Celphi will tell him that she is scared for the war. She
is getting stressed and is sick of having to be in fear of the Empire. Exton
will try to help and compliment her. Celphi will be content and lean on his
shoulder. They will watch the festivity from a distance and eventually they
decide to go back. But, before they do, Celphi will kiss Exton lightly on the
cheek.
4. 4. The scene will end there and carry on some time
later when the forces of the city will be gathering to forge ahead in their expedition
to rid Kenji from the Empire. They travel up Sarda River to Ignar Lake where they
camp for a bit then continue their journey and circle around La Grange
Mountain. Camillo will be talking to Exton and explaining the geography and
tell about the wars fought on the Scarred Plains. One will include a war
between dragons and the “prodigies” in which a whole army and five prodigies
were killed. Although, only two dragons remained after the fight which
eventually led to their extinction and therefore which led to the previous
festivity. Before reaching the army, Exton will have a strange dream where he
hears voices that tell him to travel up La Grange. After discussion with the
rest, he goes and eventually finds two eggs. When he touches one, it cracks and
a dragon comes out. It spoke to Exton though some telepathic communication and
said that these two were the last from the war that ceased dragons. They were
set aside by the elder dragons so that the dragons could once again come into
existence. The next hatches when Celphi touches it. The dragons explain how
they hibernated and then they quickly travel back down the mountain. A few more
days pass as each army gets ready for war. In that time the dragons seem to
grow exponentially. According to them, the hibernation has that effect. It
becomes apparent that they will help the Rebels and Rand
decides to let their existence known to the Rebels. They hold an announcement
as the head of the army and the army is terrified but amazed at the new allies.
They will reach the Agate River and across it they will see the harsh plains
and in the distance, the Empire’s Army. It is almost twice the size. Fear turns
in Exton’s stomach. The Rebels make camp and relax for a few days as they try
to get ready. Rand will send commands for fortifications at the river so the
Rebels may retreat and not be followed. Camillo, each night, allows an orb of
light to float so that the Rebels may keep guard. One day, Kenji will send a
messenger to Rand. Kenji will ask for surrender but Rand denies it. By now the
dragons are huge and Celphi and Exton have trained greatly. They are set to
ride into battle. They fight and Kenji will show with his own dragon much to
everyone’s surprise.
5. 5. The three dragons fight with the riders on
back. Exton will use a bone armor he can make and his bone weapons. They will
thrash and eventually the fight will go to the ground. Before fighting, Kenji
will explain how he was able to replicate cells in a piece of dragon bone left
over from the war (because that is his power. He can replicate his own cells to
stop disease, heal) to create a dragon. They then fight and Celphi gets
injured. So Exton and Kenji merge and fight like no other. Then as they separate,
their dragons come down and they take flight again. As they are in the air,
something happens and Exton’s dragon flows over Kenji’s. Exton jumps off and
pierces the dragon in the skull causing it to plummet. Exton creates a bone
shield as he flies towards the ground. He hits and survives only to see Kenji
still alive and his body morphing after the long fall as it heals. They will discuss
ethics and morals and then fight again. Kenji will knock Exton down but he will
shoot a bone out of his chest that sends Kenji through the air. It wasn’t
enough to kill him though so he heals. Then when Exton tire out and can’t do
anything more and he is on his knees, Celphi is rushed in as she hangs from
Exton’s dragon’s feet and as she flies by, she decapitates Kenji. Exton sees
Celphi tumble to the ground and he rushes to her side. He cradles her and she
kisses him softly on the lips. His healing powers surge though Celphi so that
she doesn’t die from the stunt she made. They talk with a little ra ra we did
it.
6. 6. In the end, Exton and Celphi return to the camp
to show their command and scare the soldiers because they defeated Kenji. The
soldiers acknowledge their defeat. The war is won and Exton and Celphi
commemorate the victory only to hear that Rand died. Remorse takes hold. But,
Celphi decides to take over. Exton asks her to marry him and they become king
and queen. But, they build a new capital on the border of the Agate Rive and
the Scarred Plains. Now the capital is in the middle. They continue to rule and
Celphi becomes pregnant. The baby boy, as soon as he comes out, screams and
yells and the whole place rumbles. They boy is the next generation of “prodigy.”

Blog #5 Logline revised.
A young boy, Exton, is born into a poor farming family but his life changes when he discoveries he is the "prodigy" of his generation and must save the empire from oppression.
Changed to:
A young boy is born into a poor, self-reliant, farming family but his life changes when he discovers he is the "prodigy" of his generation, with abilities beyond mere man, and must save the Empire from oppression.
I took out his name and put more emphasis on the "prodigy" part by hinting at powers. I also put the "self-reliant" part in to help further develop his pre-adventure life.

Blog Entry #3 Six-Word Memoirs
Six-Word Memoirs
Years in line… finally my turn.
This one is interesting because it symbolizes how my life is going. I have been waiting to go out on my own for eighteen years and I’m about to have my chance with college. It is scary but at the same time, it is wonderfully exciting.
Mortality wasted while worrying about immortality.
This Six-Word Memoir makes me think of how I should live my life. Life isn’t about worrying about dying and wasting your life away. Instead you should be making a name for yourself, making yourself into someone, leaving a legacy behind. You can’t leave an imprint if you don’t live your life so let it all go and have fun. I didn’t learn this until recently.
I’m in the process of dying.
Again, this is something people should learn to accept and instead focus on living and having a full life. My Great Grandmother died about a year ago. She had lived to be in her nineties and had a pretty good life. Just before she died, she told everyone to stop mourning and that this is part of every one’s life. She said that her life has been completed and she is happy to move on and that we should remember her for the good she brought and she will stay there with us if we do that. This helped open my eyes. This is part of who we are and we should make the best of it.
Constantly wondering what I did wrong.
Despite finding the last two to be very ideologically sound, they are hard to practice. I have this feeling quite often in my house and this is what inspired my first choice for the Six-Word Memoir. This leads to my next lesson and realization. Let go of issues. Remorse, anguish, and vengeance are all plaguing feelings that should be forgotten.
Geek philosopher. Usually unemployed, lovingly ludicrous.
This reminds me of a wonderful person in my life who taught me of acceptance. He is a rather humble man, lives with little, and is content with little. From the outside, he is rather… homely looking but he has inspired open mindedness in me and it has changed my life.
Tragic flaw: over-confidence. Usual consequence: unpreparedness.
One to think about for all of the people who think the world revolves around them or that their actions have no consequences. Everyone links to everyone in some way or another.

Blog Entry #2
Blog Post #2
There are a few areas in which I would like to approve in as a writer. Obviously, it would be nice to be perfect in my writing but that won't happen. Writing is about making mistakes. I honestly have no problem with the volume of my writing. I've always been able to write on and on. Writing just flows for me and I enjoy doing it. I would like to develop my variety though. I tend to be very sarcastic in my writing and when I'm not sarcastic, I'm very straight forward. I like to write about lessons in writing generally and I don't always stray in my tone. I would love to start developing different voices if you will. Characters that will become individuals in my writing. I want to create people with words because words are power and these people could do wonders if I have variety. I'd like to try being sad, mean, nice, happy, playful, rude, arrogant, smart, energetic, zealous and so on. I want to change and be well versed. It probably would help to read a bit more so I could develop these "characters" better. This then goes along with thoughtfulness. How can I grab the reader's attention? How can I make them think? How can I do anything I want to? It all comes with thoughtfulness. I believe that all I need to do to get this is to just keep writing. I feel like I will gradually develop techniques and begin to understand the language better as it comes out of me like the lyrics to a hit song or the notes that fly off the instrument that plays the song. I think that writing can be the key to any one's future. It is quite the tool and I plan to figure out how to use it.

Blog Entry #1: WELCOME!
Blog Entry #1: Welcome!
My name is Keaton. I haven been a lover of writing for quite some time but I never figured out a way that I could express my writing without having it be school based or so on. This creative writing class that I was just enrolled in has actually allowed me to open up time and allow myself to enjoy something I like doing. I like to write about my own experiences but I usually put a little twist on them. I was always a fan of incorporating lessons and morals in my writing that I have learned from other pieces of literature. It's like I am teaching other people how to be better without directly telling them to fix their ways. I've always loved the idea of people learning in their own way, discovering themselves, and learning how to be the best person they can be by discovering it for themselves. I'm a very family oriented person but at the same time, I like to be an individual. It's a little strange because I am very community oriented in terms of my family, but I am not social at all. I have found myself to be extremely introverted and honestly, I take pride in it. I can be social when I want to but I value my individual alone time. I'll be posting more entries shortly and keeping my own spin on everything so keep up as time goes by!
